AI Implementation

From AI Demonstration to Working Business System

A demonstration shows what a technology can do under controlled conditions. A business system has to survive Monday morning.

An AI demonstration can be impressive.

A working business system has to survive Monday morning.

That difference matters.

A demonstration usually shows what a technology can do under controlled conditions. A business system has to deal with real information, real employees, real customers, incomplete data, exceptions, delays and changing requirements.

That is why implementation is often more difficult than the demonstration.

Consider a customer enquiry.

An AI model may be able to answer a question very effectively. But what happens next?

Does the enquiry get recorded?

Does the appropriate person receive it?

Is the customer followed up?

Does the conversation become part of the CRM?

What happens if the customer asks something outside the approved knowledge?

What happens if the information in the system is wrong?

What happens when the AI is uncertain?

What happens when a human needs to take over?

These are not model questions.

They are business system questions.

A useful AI implementation therefore needs more than an AI model.

It needs a process.

It needs reliable information.

It needs appropriate integrations.

It needs controls.

It needs people who understand how to use it.

And it needs a way to monitor and improve the system after deployment.

At FactumSysAI, our implementation approach follows six stages:

Understand.

Design.

Build.

Integrate.

Operate.

Improve.

The objective is to move from a promising demonstration to something that can operate within the actual business.

This does not mean every process should be automated.

It means automation and intelligence should be introduced where they make practical sense.

The question is not:

"Can AI do this?"

The more useful question is:

"Can AI do this reliably enough, within this business process, to create a worthwhile improvement?"

That is the difference between demonstrating AI and implementing AI.
